Our Trained Emergency Care Staff
When you fly with us, we ensure you get proper care on your way to the hospital. Our team of over 250 medical professionals includes doctors, registered nurses, pediatric specialists and paramedics. We provide weekly, quarterly and annual training programs to ensure each member can handle multiple emergencies and age groups.
Before your flight, you will give the details to one of our team members, and they will schedule transportation and send a team right to you. Our flight case managers will look at your information and ensure your flight team is equipped to handle your circumstances. We only choose professionals who will keep you comfortable and safe during your flight to the hospital.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Our team will handle each step in the flight preparation process. Our team works with your insurance, the doctors and our flight crew to coordinate additional care throughout the flight.
The patient will receive treatment from our expert medical team during the flight until they reach the destination. We keep the patient's team updated on their condition through our synchronized hub, the “ROC.” We can organize flights and communicate efficiently through one platform.
We have 16 aircraft with the latest technology and experience in over 70 countries. Our team will keep everyone onboard comfortable while delivering expert care.
When to Seek Neonatal Emergency Care
Neonatal injuries and emergencies can happen anywhere within the first four weeks of life, whether from congenital disorders, illness or accidents at home. Newborns have different needs than older infants or children. Knowing when to get emergency care instead of calling a family doctor could save lives.
Contact emergency services for the following conditions:
- Fever above 100.4 degrees — may be accompanied by nausea, lethargy, vomiting and rash
- Trouble breathing
- Broken limbs
- An allergic reaction that results in throat or mouth swelling and wheezing
- Loss of consciousness after head trauma
- Seizures
- Pale or bluish skin and lips
- Widespread rash
- Problems feeding
- Bumps on the head

Steve Williams is an on old hand, with more than 30 years’ experience in emergency medicine. In other words, he’s seen it before, he’s done it before. He also currently holds the position of Team Commander of the FIU FAST Team, which is a disaster recovery team, and Deputy Team Commander for the federal government’s Trauma & Critical Care Team South.
