Medical Capabilities
Traditionally, the Cessna has the space to seat one to two flight crew members and up to seven passengers. On a REVA flight, we replaced some of the seats with a custom stretcher base to transport patients safely and securely from one location to another. This provides our medical crew with plenty of space to provide the needed health services to stabilize a patient's vitals until we reach their destination.
The Cessna 402B — and every other REVA aircraft — supports the following medical technology:
- Oxygen: REVA flights provide ventilation monitoring with a 2,000 PSI M oxygen tank onboard. Our medical crew also carries at least two E oxygen tanks for backup.
- Suction: The aircraft has a suction machine that can be plugged in whenever needed using the built-in 115-volt outlets located on the stretcher base. The medical crew will also carry portable suction machines.
- Invasive line monitoring: To best keep patients stable during the flight, we can consistently monitor their heart rate and blood pressure using invasive line monitoring machines. This also allows us to provide the patient with needed fluids and nutrients.
- Crash cart: Each REVA flight contains a crash cart onboard. To provide enough power for this system, we use our auxiliary power unit.
